Grand Mistress Ophelia Bates-Harvard was made in the tradition of the great Venetian artisan mask makers, but with a modern twist: a steampunk aesthetic plus a wearable necklace included in the design.
I finished the Grand Mistress a while ago, and she sat on my wall where I put all my latest work, but as I passed her and watched her, I realised, as I often do with my artwork, that she was a little narrow and thin for my taste, so I decided she needed a collar. But what kind of collar does a Grand Mistress Sorceress have? Not a symmetrical one, that’s for sure.
Here’s what I came up with. She can wear it either way, up or down, depending on taste.
I made it to have the wide part at the bottom, and that’s the way I like it best. Which way do you like it?
