The making took a long time. I created the shape in clay, made a plaster mold of it, then pressed layers of papier mache into the mold. After it dried, I removed it from the mold and sanded it like crazy. It takes a huge amount of work to sand it smooth. Then I had to cut the holes in the papier mache and paint it. After painting, I added silver leaf, braid, glass jewels and findings. And here it is.
The mask is 38 cm (15″) tall, 33 cm (13″) wide and 12 cm (5″) deep.
